The Flying Karamazov Brothers Triumphant New York Run ends on April 3 Prior to Engagement in London’s West End Beginning June 9

The world famous FLYING KARAMAZOV BROTHERS will play their final performance in New York on Sunday April 3 prior to a London engagement at the Vaudeville Theatre beginning June 9. Tickets for London will be available beginning April 1: Call 01144 844 412 4663 or visit www.fkb.com.

The New York run began on July 22, 2010 following a limited winter engagement which was received with critical acclaim, popular success, several pies in the face, and an offer to teach juggling in space*.

If you see one group of multi-faceted new-vaudevillians at the apex of their ambidextrous and alliterative ability, see The Flying Karamazov Brothers also. They are not your father’s wild-haired, juggling, flame-throwing, kilt-and-tutu-wearing performers. This group of screwballs boasts an impressive collective resume.  Between them, they have:

• Played piano with Bo Diddley and sung with The Grateful Dead and Los Lobos.
• Played Mozart’s bassoon concerto in B Flat Major on euphonium at Carnegie Hall
• Sent a Big Mac on a cab ride through the Portuguese countryside.
• Made bottled water come out of Rosie O’Donnell’s nose.
• Shared the stage with Frank Sinatra, Bill Gates, Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York, Bozo the Clown, and Dolly Parton, who challenged the FKB’s to “juggle these.”

Say what you will; Angela Lansbury has not done any of those things.

Each night, the audience is invited to bring objects to the theater for the FKBs to keep airborne in a challenge that ends either with a pie in the face or a standing ovation.  As director / founder/ performer Paul Magid says, “Juggling is dropping.”  Julia Roberts had to go all the way to India to learn the same thing; you need only take the train to West 4th Street.

FDNY Teams Up with Flying Karamazov Brothers for Fire Safety Video

When thinking of images typically associated with fire safety, you may imagine smoke alarms, fire extinguishers or escape plans . but men in kilts juggling fiery batons?

It may not be a conventional symbol of fire safety, but, then again, this is not a conventional group of guys.

The FDNY is partnering with the Flying Karamazov Brothers this month to produce an educational and fun fire safety video titled “Safety’s Hot; Fire’s Not.”

The ‘Brothers’ – Paul Magid, Mark Ettinger, Roderick Kimball and Stephen Bent – are lending their humor, music and, of course, juggling act to the video, which features FDNY members Capt. Sean Giery, EMS Capt. Dawn Diaz, Lt. Anthony Mancuso, Lt. John Erico, FF Frank Pizarro, FF Regina Wilson, FF Danny Glover, FF William Arce, Paramedic Farooq Muhammad and retired FF Gerald Claxton.
